Locorotondo is located 410 m. above sea level and is part of the Murgia plateau (from Latin “murex”: a kind of mollusk, later pointed rock) and more precisely of the “Murgia dei Trulli” known as Itria Valley. Locorotondo constitutes the geographic center of this particular and unique valley, whose territory unfolds along the East-West axis of Locorotondo, including the villages of: Martina Franca, Alberobello and Ceglie Messapica, with Ostuni and Noci not far off.
